On March 11, Cadence Wooden was named a princess of this year's court. Cadence is a senior at La Salle Catholic College Preparatory and expects to graduate this June. After graduation, Cadence will pursue a career in the sports atmosphere as an agent or broadcaster.
Cadence has long cherished the dream of becoming a Rose Festival Court Princess and aspires to honor her family values and legacy. “I've learned the essence of vulnerability, integrity, and authentic leadership,” explains Cadence, reflecting on her family’s experience with the court. “I aim to honor these legacies by contributing positively, leading with compassion, and emulating the role model my mom and papa represent.”
Looking ahead to the Portland Rose Festival, Cadence looks forward to the Grand Floral Parade. “The Grand Floral Parade hands down is my favorite event. I love this parade because of the family tradition we have where we get up super early to save our seats on the bridge and then send someone off to get warm drinks and breakfast.”
