Voters will have the opportunity to meet the slate of candidates running for Portland City Council next week when the Community Development Network and Northwest Housing Alternatives host a candidates forum.
The event will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at New Genesis Community Church, 5425 N.E. 27th Ave.
Thecandidateswill address resource needs and other issues surrounding affordable housing. On hand will be City Commissioner Erik Sten, state Sen. Ginny Burdick, Bruce Broussard, Emily Boyles, Amanda Fritz and Jeff Cogan, who will appear on behalf of City CommissionerDan Saltzman. Attendees are invited to bring their questions and a brown bag lunch.
